It is a class where both you and your baby are learning to use sign language on a daily basis to enhance your bond and make parenting that little bit easier. Whats more, it can help to bridge the gap between two languages in a bi-lingual household. For babies and toddlers up to age two
Baba, Black Sheep! Musical improvisation group
Sick of nursery rhymes? Is your baby better than E-I-E-I-O? Then this class is the place for you.
Allow your child to truly experience music through interactive play and free improvisation. Anyone of any age has the ability to make music, we are all capable of creating, and of expressing ourselves through sound. Participants (including adults) are encouraged to listen, interrupt, interact, respond and let their imaginations be inspired by the beauty, the cacophony, and the swell of sounds and rhythms that will fill the air and envelop them.
They will play, as they feel, in the moment, experiencing the pure joy of communal music-making.
Research has shown that an early introduction to music through improvisation rather than more formal music training has a profound and positive effect on a child's individual attitude towards creativity in general and music in particular. It opens the door to possibility.
Led by pianist, improviser and mum of two little people, Elaine Loebenstein.
